Reading a Personal Injury SEO Quote: What Each Line Item Should Buy
How to read an injury SEO quote: the pricing models agencies use, what guest posts and Web 2.0 links really are, and what a price cannot tell you.

Personal injury SEO is usually sold as a monthly retainer, sometimes as a one-time project, and occasionally bundled with lead or per-case arrangements, and quotes vary widely because they bundle very different amounts of work under the same name. Our published prices run from $125 to $575 a month, month to month, with no long contract. The way to compare any quote, ours included, is to ignore the monthly total for a moment and ask what gets delivered each month, how you will see it, and who owns it when you stop paying.
How agencies price injury SEO
You will run into four models.
Monthly retainer. A fixed fee for an ongoing scope: pages, links, profile work, reporting. The structure fits SEO because the work never really finishes. The things to read closely are the scope, the minimum term and the cancellation terms.
Project fee. A one-time price for a defined job, such as a site audit, a set of case-type pages or a website rebuild. Useful when you have a specific gap. Less useful as the only engagement, because rankings in a competitive injury market are not a one-time fix.
Hourly. Common with consultants. Fine for advice, hard to budget for execution.
Hybrids tied to leads or cases. Some offers mix SEO with a price per lead or per signed case. Those are a different product from SEO, with different risks and, for per-case pricing, professional responsibility questions under your state's version of ABA Model Rules 5.4 and 7.2. Check with your state bar before signing anything that ties payment to signed cases.
Within any of these, the price will reflect the agency's costs and its view of your market. A firm in a dense metro competing for truck and rideshare cases needs more work than a firm in a smaller city, and a quote that doesn't change with that is a quote that wasn't thought about.

What the line items mean
| Line item | What it is | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Target keywords | The searches we work on and track, such as "truck accident lawyer [city]" | That the list matches the cases you want, not just high-volume terms |
| Guest posts (DA 20+) | Articles placed on other websites, each with a link to a page on your site | The live URL, the page it links to and the anchor text, in every report |
| DA | Domain Authority, a third-party score from SEO software that estimates a site's link strength. It is not a Google metric | Treat it as a floor, not proof of quality; read the sites themselves |
| Web 2.0 posts (DA 50+) | Pages on hosted publishing platforms that link to your site | Same as guest posts: every URL listed |
| In-depth research | Keyword and competitor research for your case types and cities | That it names actual competitors in your market |
| On-page audit | A review of your existing pages: titles, headings, content, internal links | A list of fixes you can see made |
| Content gap analysis | Searches competitors rank for that you have no page for | Which gaps match cases you want |
| Premium indexing | Steps to get new links discovered and indexed by search engines | Fewer unindexed links over time |
| Competitor spy | Ongoing tracking of what competing firms rank for and where their links come from | That it informs the next month's plan |
| Toxic link check | Review of harmful links pointing to your site, with cleanup where needed | What was found and what was done |
| Domains | How many websites the plan covers | Useful for firms with a second site, such as a Spanish-language domain or a separate brand for a case type |
Our monthly report shows each live URL, the page on your site it targets, and the anchor text. If a report you get from anyone cannot show you that, you cannot check what you paid for.
Content writing is a separate line
SEO plans cover links, research and on-page work. Writing new pages and posts is priced separately, as a monthly plan:
| Posts a month | Length of each | Monthly |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | 1,000 words | $44 |
| 8 | 1,000 words | $80 |
| 16 | 1,000 words | $144 |
| 30 | 1,000 words | $240 |
There are also 500-word and 2,500-word versions, priced from $26 a month for four short posts to $480 a month for thirty long ones. For an injury firm, any content written for your site should be reviewed by a lawyer at the firm before it goes live. You are the one responsible for it under your state's advertising rules.
Websites and reputation work
New websites start at $400, one time, quoted per project. Reputation management is quoted per firm, because the scope depends on what is being said about you, where, and what your state's rules allow you to say in reply.
Examples of how a plan might fit
These are illustrations, not recommendations for your firm.
- A solo practitioner in a mid-size city who wants more auto and slip-and-fall cases from nearby towns might start on Silver or Golden, plus a small writing plan for city pages.
- A five-attorney firm in a large metro competing for truck cases is more likely to need Platinum's keyword count and competitor tracking.
- A multi-office firm with a separate Spanish-language site might look at Titanium for its domain count and link volume.
What a plan produces depends on your market and your competitors, and it shows over months rather than weeks. Our post on how long personal injury SEO takes covers what to expect when.
What price can't tell you
Price tells you how much work is being bought. It doesn't tell you whether the work is aimed at the right case types, whether the links are on sites anyone reads, or whether you can leave without losing anything. Ask who owns the website, the Google Business Profile and the content if you cancel. Ask for a sample report. Ask what happens in month two if month one's plan turns out to be wrong. We have been doing SEO since 2009, and our clients rate us 4.9 out of 5, but those answers should matter to you more than our history.
Full details, including what each plan covers, are on our pricing page. If you want help choosing, ask for a free SEO case review; we'll say which plan, if any, suits your market and goals.
Advertising rules differ by state; check yours with your state bar before you publish.
